What did Meaghan have to offer?

Hunger is something that no child should have to suffer from. Hunger can have so many negative effects on a child's future--for example, it can hurt a child's academic performance, which can hurt her chances of pursuing a degree in higher education, attaining employment, and reaching her full potential. I've volunteered with elementary to high school aged students for six years now and have loved the chance to be a part of their growth and well-being, and I'd be so grateful to be able to volunteer with a nonprofit that does the same. As a recent graduate from Princeton University's public policy school, I have completed several research projects related to social issues and public policy topics, such as education and inequality. For many of these projects, I have completed in-depth literature reviews and my own data collection and analysis. My research experience culminated in my senior thesis on Charles Koch's philanthropy in higher education, in which I conducted nineteen interviews myself and analyzed the Koch Foundation's grant data. I enjoy doing research and learning new things, and would love to do so for a nonprofit with such a great mission.
